View north: this is the new station, replacing Wood Lane station in November 1947 at the time of the extension of the Central Line to West Ruislip. It is unusual in that the direction of the tracks beside the island platform are reversed, from Down-Left to Down-Right and vice-versa.(Cf. Image).
