Formerly the Percy Arms public house. The railway station of Percy Main on the Blyth & Tyne Railway was situated to the left and behind the building, the platform level with the buildings upper storey. The station opened in 1844 and closed in 1864 remaining as a goods yard for North East Railway until 1968. http://www.disused-stations.org.uk/p/percy_main_bt/
