The church is part of the Witney & Faringdon Methodist Circuit. Built as a town mansion in the local baroque style in the first half of the 18th century. The Methodists bought the building at an auction in 1848. After conversion, the building opened for worship in 1849. Burford Methodist Church is Grade II (star) listed.
