The alumni were known as Bracondalians or Peppermint Boys from the colour of their black and white school caps. The memorial which is in the care of The Norwich Housing Society bears 44 names of those who fell in the Great War and of 29 who fell in the Second World War. I am indebted to the custodians, the Norwich Housing Society and office staff for allowing me access at short notice.
