The old Post Office stands on the corner of Corporation Street and Oldham Street next to the Hyde Festival Theatre and the Theatre Royal. It used be signed "Post Office House" Image but it started losing some of the lettering around 2009 Image The building has been used as offices and for a while it was the offices of Surestart and the Tameside Children's Centre. In May was "For Let" Image but now it is about to open as "Corporation Pop" https://www.facebook.com/pophyde/ a community based cross generational creative space supporting local micro business in a retail emporium and hosting live events.
