Although this stream appears to be a minor affair it forms quite a barrier and a bridge is needed to allow a public footpath to make an easy crossing. Even then, on this day, there was awkwardness due to a water-saturated area on the north side; negotiating that was at least eased - it was semi-frozen. The stream is un-named on OS maps; it joins Chapel Beck south-east of the village.
