An ironic juxtaposition of energy infrastructure. The supergrid transmission lines were provided to export the nuclear power from Wylfa and Trawsfynydd generating stations, but now both are permanently closed. The turbines were erected in 2015 and are each rated at just a quarter megawatt compared with 400MW for each of the Wylfa Magnox reactors. The sheep have no opinion on the matter and stick to munching at the depleted pasture.
