Bethel Lane railway bridge, near Gwersyllt

This railway bridge carries the main Hawarden to Wrexham railway line over Bethel Lane. The bridge used to be much wider when Ffwrd junction provided a line to the nearby Ffrwd Iron and Coal Works, but when that was closed the bridge was reduced in size. There is an Ordnance Survey bench mark on the nearest right hand buttress - Image
