Cattle at Backburn Farm

Farms in this area of Aberdeenshire make good use of all available resources, and here we see some of the cattle being fed on locally-grown feedstuff. The land around here can be rather rough - see the area behind the farm buildings - but in the mild climate close to the sea, there is good growth on the better land and crops and animals can flourish. Not sure that I have the date right, but I think this was taken in springtime.
