Built sometime prior to 1834, the Belle Vue Royal is one of the main older hotels which catered to the Victorian tourist trade, and remains in business today. It attracted a Grade II listing https://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/300010281-belle-vue-royal-hotel-aberystwyth#.Wk_oldSLTGh in 1984.
