Sandiacre lock and lock cottage

Both date from the original construction of the Erewash Canal in the 1770s. Both lock and cottage are Listed Grade II. The cottage is home to the Erewash Canal Preservation & Development Association, and is generally open once a month to visitors. It is the only remaining original lock cottage on the canal.
