Riders on the Trans Pennine Trail are passing the old oak tree at Foxholes. Huddling under the tree is a chap who wasn't too keen to have his photograph taken. "What are taking photographs for?" he called out - "I take a photograph of this oak tree every year" - "But why are taking a photograph of me?" - "Because you happen to be there" - "Fair enough then." I didn't ask what he was doing. He seemed to be hacking bits off the bottom of the tree possibly for use as firewood but I may be wrong about that.
