The Council-owned land at Stone Lodge was originally the farm for Stone House Hospital. The site was previously within the Green Belt, with this status having being removed by the 1995 Local Plan. The site has previously been used as an urban farm park, which operated as a visitor attraction, as a public rifle and pistol range and for the North Downs Steam Railway. Scrub and bushes have been removed during 2017 as the Council have preliminary plans to develop the land for housing, a new secondary school and a rugby club. The River Thames can be seen in the distance.
