The Prince of Wales Tavern once stood on the site of this road junction next door to another former pub, The Flower Pot (in the left of this photo) on the northern end of Elm Road There is no mention of this tavern in A A Oldhams book, The Inns and Taverns of Wisbech. This tavern's location is shown on a map of Wisbech which was surveyed and drawn in 1853 as part of The Public Health Act of 1848 https://media.geograph.org.uk/view.php?id=2679
