The former St Michaels church became the first British Heritage Centre in 1975. The middle level of the tower has been converted into a meeting area and was opened to the public on the recent Heritage Open Day. This view is looking down Lower Bridge Street through the diamond leaded lights of the tower window. The spire in the far distance is that of St Mary Without the Walls across the River Dee in Handbridge.
