Built c.1823 when Hanover Square was first laid out, it represents the style the square was intended to have. However, Rawson's project was a complete failure and it was only later that the square was fully developed, with smaller Victorian houses. For many years a YMCA hostel, it has since been converted to apartments. Listed Grade II.
