Carved stone post by the A688, in parish of RABY WITH KEVERSTONE (TEESDALE District), 200m East of Keverstone Grange Farmhouse, on the verge, East of Cookfield sign, on South side of road. Bowes stone, erected by the Bowes & Sunderland Bridge turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : BOWES / 12 : : DURHAM / 17 : Grade II Listed.
