Carved stone post by the A688, in parish of EVENWOOD AND BARONY (TEESDALE District), Evenwood Gate, 100m North East of New Moor Lodge, on grass verge, on North side of road. Bowes stone, erected by the Bowes & Sunderland Bridge turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription once read:- : (BOWES / 14) : : (DURHAM / 15) : Grade II Listed.
