Carved stone post by the B3081, plate missing, in parish of MOTCOMBE (NORTH DORSET District), 25m West of entrance to Fernbrook Farm, by the road, on South side of road. Dorset 1 (limestone), erected by the Shaftesbury & New Road to Blandford turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : MOTCOMBE : : (Wincanton 9 / Shaftesbury 2) : : GILLINGHAM : Carved benchmark in centre of front face. Milestone Society National ID: DO_SHWC09.
