Metal plate attached to stone post by the UC road, in parish of LILLINGTON (WEST DORSET District), Longburton, in hedgerow behind narrow verge and ditch, just south of Stockbridge farms, on West side of road. Dorset 3 and 4 (iron plated), erected by the Sherborne turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- 4 SHERBORNE LEIGH 2 Carved benchmark in centre of front face beneath plate.
