Cast iron post by the A61, in parish of Wingeworth (North East Derbyshire District), Derby Road, Tupton, on hill North of Old Tupton roundabout, on grass between road and path, on West side of road. Haywood iron casting, erected by the Duffield & Sheffield turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : CHESTERFIELD / 3 MILES / DRONFIELD / 9 MILES / SHEFFIELD / 15 MILES : : TOWNSHIP / OF / TUPTON : : CLAY CROSS / MILES / DERBY / 20 MILES : Maker:- : J.
