Metal plate attached to stone post by the UC road (was A6071), in parish of KIRKANDREWS (CARLISLE District), Mill Hill, opposite entrance to Scotts Peat Works, on embankment in front of ditch, on North side of road. Carlisle round iron plate, erected by the Longtown, Snab & Haithwaite Bridge turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- CARLISLE 11 {arrow to right} MILES Carved benchmark top right. Milestone Society National ID: CU_CLGA11.
