Cast iron post by the A529, in parish of Audlem (Crewe and Nantwich District), Corbrook, on the verge (was hit by vehicle 2009), on North West side of road. Cast iron CCC1896, erected by the County Council in the 19th century. Broken. Inscription reads:- : NANTWICH / 6 MILES : : (CHESHIRE / 1896 / COUNTY COUNCIL) : : AUDLEM / (1) MILE / ADDERLEY 3 / MARKET DRAYTON / 7 MILES : Maker:- : W H SMITH & CO / MAKERS / WHITCHURCH : Milestone Society National ID: CH_NWMD06
