Cast iron post by the A533, in parish of Bostock (Vale Royal District), Bostock Road; East of Home Farm, South of road junction, on the verge, back to wire fence, on West side of road. Old domed open book 1833 casting, erected by the Spann Smithy, Booth Lane & Winsford turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : NORTHWICH / 4 / MILES : : MIDDLEWICH / 2 / MILES / SANDBACH / 7 : Parish, Date and Maker's plate:- : BOSTOCK / 1833 / W.E / M : Grade II listed.
