Cast iron post by the B5153, in parish of Hartford (Vale Royal District), West of Hartfordbeach, by pavement, back to wooden fence, on South West side of road. Cast iron CCC1898, erected by the County Council in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : WEAVERHAM / 1¼ MILES / ACTON / STATION 2¼ / FRODSHAM 8½ : : CHESHIRE / 1898 / COUNTY COUNCIL : : NORTHWICH / 2 MILES / KNUTSFORD 9 / ALTRINCHAM 14 : Maker:- : W H SMITH & CO / MAKERS / WHITCHURCH : Milestone Society National ID: CH_NTFR02
