Cast iron post by the A559, in parish of Lostock Gralam (Vale Royal District), Lostock Gralam cross roads, in North East angle, on cut grass, back to neat railings of car store, on North East side of road. Old acorn open book, erected by the Cranage & Warrington turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : TO / KNUTSFORD / 5 MILES / ALTRINGHAM / 10 MILES : : LOSTOCK GRALAM : : TO / NORTHWICH / 2½ MILES : Milestone Society National ID: CH_KFNW05
