Cast iron post by the B5445, in parish of Chester (Chester District), South East of Belgrave Bridge, A483 roundabout, 100m North of Rake Lane junction, between path and dense hedge, on East side of road. Cast iron CCC1898, erected by the County Council in the 19th century. Lost since major roadworks were carried out in 2015. Inscription reads:- : PULFORD / 2 MILES / ROSSETT 3¼ / GRESFORD 5½ / WREXHAM 8½ : : CHESHIRE / 1898 / COUNTY COUNCIL : : CHESTER / 3 MILES : Maker:- : W H SMITH & CO / MAKERS / WHITCHURCH : Milestone Society National ID: CH_CHWX03
