Stone post (plate lost) by the UC road (was A56), in parish of Daresbury (Halton District), South of village, 100m South of footpath sign, on West side of road. Erected by the Chester & Frodsham turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription once read:- (Chester 16) (Warrington 4½) (Frodsham 5) Cheshire HER.
