Carved stone post by the A40, in parish of High Wycombe (Wycombe District), London Road; King's Mead, East of town, was beside Halfway House PH (since demolished 2011), in pavement in front of wooden fence to right of PH; beside manhole cover, on South side of road. Beaconsfield diamond pillar, erected by the Beaconsfield & Stokenchurch turnpike trust in the 18th century. Inscription reads:- : Oxford / 27 / - / Wycombe / 2 : : London / 27 / - / Uxbridge / 12 : : XXXV / LONDON / 1744 : Pe : Carved benchmark front lower. Grade II listed.
