Carved stone post by the B4507, in parish of Shrivenham (Vale of White Horse District), Longcot Road; opposite Green Gables, just after roundabout, in low stone wall and neat hedge on road edge, on North side of road. Shrivenham pillar, erected by the Wallingford, Wantage & Faringdon turnpike trust in the 18th century. Inscription reads:- To Wantage XI Miles Oxfordshire HER.
