Carved stone post by the A417, in parish of West Challow (Vale of White Horse District), Faringdon Road; West of Hill House, on grass verge beside field entrance, on West side of road. Faringdon tombstone, erected by the Wallingford, Wantage & Faringdon turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- FARINGDON 6 WANTAGE 3 Carved benchmark on left side (faint).
