At the junction with Marlborough Avenue, Sainsbury's Local, Nos.70-74 Chanterlands Avenue. Built for local grocers William Jackson & Son Ltd and opened in 1928 at Nos.72-74. Classic Jackson's façade (in grocer's Classical style) designed by Gelder & Kitchen. Distinctive Marmo (white faience) faced façade with coloured mosaics. On the Marlborough Avenue façade: WM JACKSON & SON LTD GOLD MEDAL PORK PIES CHOCOLATES WEDDING CAKES. Outside the shop is one of the 'iconic' K6 cast-iron telephone kiosks designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott in 1935.
