Carved stone post by the UC road (was A420), in parish of Shrivenham (Vale of White Horse District), Townsend Road; at entrance to Ryme's House, on wide well kept grass verge, on North side of road. Faringdon tombstone, erected by the Faringdon to Acton Turville (2nd District) turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- FARINGDON 6 SWINDON 6 Oxfordshire HER.
