Carved stone post by the B4494, in parish of Shaw cum Donnington (West Berkshire District), Oxford Road; Donnington Bridge, by South East corner of Donnington Hospital (almshouses), on footpath against fence, on West side of road. Newbury waist, erected by the Andover & Chilton Pond turnpike trust in the 18th century. Inscription reads:- OXFORD 25 NEWBURY BRIDGE 1 Carved benchmark at base. Grade II listed.
