Carved stone post by the B4017, in parish of Steventon (Vale of White Horse District), High Street; beside Methodist Chapel and Steventon Inn PH, against wall on footpath, on West side of road. Vale triangular with insets, erected by the Chilton Pond & Abingdon turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- ABINGDON 4 E ILSLEY 7 Milestone Society National ID: BE_ABNE04
