Tiny and fairly ancient-looking cottages - a striking reminder that there was a village here before the great surge of suburban development between the World Wars. The tiny upstairs windows are a feature of a number of similar properties in (or close to) Mill Lane. The cottages stand in the angle between Mill Lane and London Road, and are seen here from the main road. Photo taken in fading light on a short December afternoon.
