Pipe alongside the Greenway in Heckmondwike

The pipe runs alongside the cycle path for a considerable distance through Heckmondwike towards Ravensthorpe. I could not decide whether it was a sewer or a chemical pipeline - probably not water supply, or it would be insulated, and if it was for gas it would surely be buried.
