The Station Inn is situated on Midland Road leading to Derby Railway Station. This road used to be called Station Road when the pub was built in 1852. It has been used almost continuously since then as a public house and some time hotel, though now it is just a public house. The small single storey room to the right now houses a billiard table though when the pub was built it was the entrance to a brewery connected to the Midland Hotel further down the road and on the opposite side of the road.
