The Grade II listing begins "Former magistrates court and offices, probably a police station, now a house, built 1858. Gault brick with low pitch, slate roofs. Plan of single storey office or police station on the front with a two storey courtroom at rear. Office has channelled rustication to the quoins, walls and voussoirs of the window arches".
