These cranes are fully automatic. The truck driver initiates the container pick up by using a touch screen to confirm the locks on the container are undone etc. (the crane can easily pick up the truck too if the load is still attached to it). The shipping container is whisked away by the robot crane. If something goes wrong they can be operated remotely by a crane driver using CCTV.
