From Main Street the parish church is largely hidden by yews. The former Rectory is to the right. The lychgate is a Great War memorial and the right-hand panel above the poppy wreath lists fourteen "men of this parish who gave their lives in the Great War 1914-1918 to keep their country free from the chains of a foreign yoke", words in keeping with the church's name.
