The gun room is the dining hall for the senior term of trainee officers. The tables are laid with places a precise distance apart - a mat, knife and fork. The three steps at the doorway are inscribed with squares to signify the three square meals a day provided in the Navy. Partially seen at the end is the ship's wheel of the original wooden HMS Britannia.
