This War Department boundary stone marks the north east corner of what was once the boundary of the Military Hospital and the Ordnance Depot (RAOC) - now re-developed. The number was identified from the O.S. Old-maps as the stone is very badly weathered. Based on what is just visible, and other stones, the inscription could be "THIS FACE" (MARKS THE BOUNDARY) "OF WD PROPERTY" (No.4?). The other stones in this set are: #1 Image #2 Image and #3 Image Milestone Society National ID: YW_RAOCYO04em
