The White Horse Hotel on Buxton Old Road is Grade II listed https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1278081 At one time bears were kept here for use in public bear-baiting in Fountain Square. Dating from the late 18th century the present building dates from 1869 Image but has been substantially modernised since. It is currently a Robinsons House Image
