The former Braco United Free Church was built in 1844 and opened in 1845. After it was struck by lightning, the church was demolished but the simple Romanesque free-standing tower remains. The tower is a Category C listed building. https://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/200337283-ardoch-free-church-tower-ardoch#.WgxHgTFLE5s
