The Western Power Distribution electricity substation is set back 10 metres from the west side of the A49 Edgar Street. The substation identifier is THE BATHS S/S 41301. A caution notice shows the presence of SF6 (sulphur hexafluoride, an insulating gas used in high voltage systems).
