The war memorial stands at the corner of Middleton Street and Vicar Street. It is a square stone obelisk standing on a stepped base. The plaque to the right of the memorial remembers the life of Lt Col Harry Daniels VC MC (1884-1953), born in Wymondham, who was Norfolk's first Victoria Cross hero of World War I.
