Some neat stone and brickwork in evidence here at the point where the Teesdale Way footpath passes under the former Forcett Quarry Railway. This had a 100 year life from 1866 and was constructed to take limestone from Forcett quarries to the developing iron and steel industries around Middlesbrough. Some 200m south of here there was an impressive viaduct over the Tees, but that has now gone.
