A Grade II listed Railway Gate Keeper's Cottage, built in 1845-50. In a sorry state, but still prettier than the ugly footbridge behind it. The proposed western extension of the Trent Valley Way crosses the railway line here http://www.trentriverstrust.org/site/pages/trent-valley-way-os-maps
