The Gribble Inn, Oving, West Sussex

The 16th century thatched cottage that is today The Gribble Inn, was once the home of local school teacher Rose Gribble. Following her death in 1980, local farmer Peter Hague compassionately bought and transformed the cottage into a public house for the local Oving parishioners. In memory of Rose, Peter named the pub ‘The Gribble’ as a lasting tribute.
